Battery-powered lawn care, Seattle

Mowing that fits inside your quiet hours

Every mower, trimmer and blower on our trucks runs on a battery. We come on one fixed day, inside the hours your building allows, and we print each machine's sound level on this page.

  • 72 dB

Our push mower, at the operator's ear
  • 90 dB

    A typical gas push mower

Rated levels from the makers' spec sheets. The full table is below.

The sound levels

Sound at the operator's ear

Rated levels in dB(A) from each maker's spec sheet, our machines beside a typical gas machine. Ten decibels less sounds about half as loud. We text the spec sheets on request.

Allowed hours

The hours we work, in writing

Your building's posted hours come first. Send them to us and we plan the route inside them.

  • Weekdays

Crews are on your block between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., never before.

  • Saturdays

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., houses only, and only if you ask for it. Condo and townhome strips stay on weekdays.

  • Sundays and holidays

Never. No visits, no catch-up cuts and no truck loading on your street.

  • Your rules, our route

Boards and landlords set their own hours. We will work inside theirs.

A plan holds your place on a route day. It is not insurance on your lawn. A small city lot cut weekly from April to October is about 28 visits, billed per visit. Skip a visit by texting before 6 p.m. the day before and it is not billed. Cancel by text at any time and you pay only for visits already done.

On the truck

Batteries in, fuel out

Mowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers and blowers from one battery family. Spare packs ride along, so we don't plug in at your place.

  • No outlet or hose bib needed at your home

  • No fuel stored or poured on your lawn

  • Packs charge at our yard overnight

  • Clippings stay on the lawn or go in the bag, your choice

From the route

What the quiet looks like to clients

“I take calls from the back bedroom. The crew comes Thursday around ten, and I haven't had to close the window once.”

Qing L.Condo owner, Ballard

“Our board sent them the posted hours and the route moved to fit. The strips along the walkway are done the same day.”

Haruki T.Townhome board member, Capitol Hill

“I text skip the night before and the visit is skipped. No call, no fee, and they're back the next week.”

Questions

Questions we get from neighbors

What does a visit cost?

It depends on lot size and how often we come. Every week, every other week and a single visit are each priced per visit by lot size, from a condo strip to a large lot. Slopes, stairs, tall grass and gates can change the price, and we text you the number before the first visit.

How soon can you start, and how long does a visit take?

Tell us your address and we text back a route day and a two-hour window. A small city lot takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Larger lots take longer, and the first cut on a long lawn can take twice that.

Are you licensed and insured?

We hold a Seattle business license and carry general liability insurance. The license line is in the footer of every page, and we send a certificate of insurance on request before work starts.

What happens when you look at my yard?

We measure from aerial photos and the street, then text you a written price for your lot. If something looks off, like a steep bank or a locked gate, we ask for a photo before we quote.

How do I pay?

We bill per visit by card, through a link we text you after the cut. Skipped visits are not billed. We do not ask for a deposit on a mowing plan.

What if it rains, or the lawn is frozen?

We mow in light rain and move the visit to the next dry day when the grass is too wet to cut cleanly. In the cold months the lawn rests, and your plan pauses until the first spring cut. We text you when your day moves.

Are children and pets okay on the lawn after a visit?

We do not apply fertilizer or weed treatment on a mowing route, so there is nothing to wait out. If you hire a separate lawn-treatment company, follow its label for re-entry times.

How do I cancel a plan?

Text or call us. You pay for visits already done and nothing after. There is no cancellation fee, and no contract to sign.
